About Poma
Hey, my name is Thomas. I’m a product designer, an indie builder, and I’ve always loved taking pictures. Not because I’m a photographer. Because a photo takes me back. My daughter’s face when she tried ice cream for the first time. My son asleep in the car after the beach. I look at those photos and I’m right there again.

But there’s always been this gap. I’d look at a photo and feel something I wanted to say, about the moment, about the person in it, and I just couldn’t get it out. I’ve never been good at choosing and playing with beautiful words.
That’s why I built poma.
I take a photo. Poma looks at it and finds the words, a few lines that say what it looked like and what the moment felt like. The words I wanted but couldn’t find.

Now when I look back at a photo of my kids, the words are there with it. They give the moment a meaning, something to hold on to. Something that makes me feel warm again, not just see the picture, but remember what it felt like.
Give it a shot. If you’ve taken a photo on your phone today, you have enough to get started. Take a picture of anything, your morning coffee, your kid, the view from your window, and let poma find the words.
I hope you like it. I hope it helps you notice more, to pause, to feel, to hold on to the moments that matter most.
Tom
